Get Started with ZED Box Mini

This documentation applies to both the ZED Box Mini and the Mini Carrier Board.

The ZED Box Mini is a compact, cost-effective, and high-performance embedded system designed for camera-based applications, featuring essential I/O, portability, and advanced GMSL2 (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) connectivity.

Powered by embedded NVIDIA® Jetson™ modules, it serves as the intelligent core for fully autonomous AI systems, ensuring real-time processing and robust performance in demanding environments.

A key advantage of the ZED Box Mini is its ability to directly convert GMSL2 or USB3.0 camera input into Gigabit Ethernet streams, facilitating high-speed, long-distance data transmission with minimal latency, utilizing the ZED SDK’s Streaming module.

The core of the ZED Box Mini is the Mini Carrier Board, a custom compact GMSL2 carrier board for NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin Nano and Orin NX compute modules.

  • NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin Nano 8 GB - 67 TOPS
  • NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin NX 8 GB - 117 TOPS
  • NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin NX 16 GB - 157 TOPS

⚠️ Active cooling system is mandatory when the Jetson™ is turned into MAXN SUPER power mode.

Storage memory #

An SSD 256GB mounted on an M.2 Key-M 2242 socket is included with all the configurations.
