Overview

The Video panel gives you access to the live stream and recordings of your device with search, playback and download features.

Live stream

Every camera offers a live video stream accessible from the Video panel.

The live stream is only sent on-demand by the device when the Video panel is open. This ensures that it uses minimal bandwidth, and that you’re in control of when the video is sent over the internet.

Every communication over the internet is ssl-secured and the stream is never cached or saved on the cloud.

The video stream is sent using WebRTC, allowing for real-time streaming with minimal latency.

The video stream is completely customizable through the ZED Hub application. This way, you can stream RGB images, a view of depth information, RGB images with helper overlays which contain detailed information, and so on, according to your need.

Recording

With ZED Hub’s recording feature, devices can be configured to record video continuously, during events, or in a scheduled manner.

Rather than uploading every recording to the cloud, they are stored on the device itself. No upload is performed in the background, ensuring that you have full control over your data and you can download it directly from the interface.

Note that you can configure applications to record video during special events associated with data. These are called Video Events, please refer to the overview of this feature to learn more about it.

Privacy Mode

At any moment, you can enable the privacy mode that blocks live stream and recordings from the device.

The privacy mode is set on the device, ensuring that nothing will be uploaded when enabled.

This setting is available in the settings panel.
